How to Get Wedding Photos From Guests After the Wedding

The chase starts when the QR never existed

If guests never had a clear place to send photos during the reception, the week after becomes a scavenger hunt across chats, Drive folders, and AirDrops. The fix is mostly prevention — but late collection still works if you make one path obvious.

Send one link, not twenty requests

Pick a single private gallery URL (or QR) and send it once to the people who were there. Group chats fragment. Individual DMs do not scale. A shared destination with a short deadline outperforms 'can you send me your photos?' repeated for a month.

Remind once, then once more

Two reminders are enough: the night of or morning after, and again before your deadline. More than that starts to feel like nagging. Ask a maid of honor or best man to post the link in the main guest chat so it does not only come from the couple.

Accept that some photos stay on phones

You will not get everything. Focus on the tables and friends who shot a lot. When the late uploads arrive, keep moderation on if you want control, then download a ZIP and pull the keepers into your album beside professional images.
